Training week (continued and concluded): from Normandy to Beauce.

After going to Camembert, we took advantage of a momentarily blue sky and dashed to Lisieux. Whether walking or cycling, we strongly recommend you the road along the river Touques in the Auge region over Notre-Dame-de-Courson and Fervaques: it is simply beautiful!

We had a rainy night out in the forest but managed to leave early enough to cross the Perche up to a small hamlet near Condé-sur-Huisne. There we had been invited for lunch by David, an inspiring man Denis had met on his way to Alençon last Saturday. With rain and Sun alternating outside we had a delicious meal prepared with local ingredients and a long conversation about the current changes in our consumption patterns. Thank you again David for your warm welcome!

Then, with our batteries full again despite the uncertainties of the weather, we left the woods of Perche into the plain of Beauce and camped at Courville-sur-Eure for the night. Our gratitude again to Laure for her generosity in helping us find our way in Courville on the next morning when our GPS temporarily abdicated!
